What did state do with Tsunami funds, asks Antony

Kollam: Defense Minister A K Antony flaying the Left Front government raised the question on how the Tsunami rehabilitation fund of Rs 1440 cr was spent in the state. There is no account statements of its expenditure, he said.

The state failed to make proper use of money allotted for drinking-water facilities and employment guarantee schemes, he added. The Left should look towards north to know whether there is progress in the country.

The food security law will come into existence in a few months and 35 kilos of rice and wheat will be distributed at the lowest price very soon, he said.
