Childhood in Kongad
Born in Kongad, Palakkad on May 10, 1968. Raised in a humble scheduled caste family, she experienced firsthand the socio-economic challenges and lack of basic amenities in Palakkad's rural interiors.
Sociology Studies and Community Work
Graduated in Sociology. This academic focus helped her design and execute grassroots social-welfare initiatives, helping women form self-help groups and raising awareness of tribal educational rights.
Panchayat & Block Level Leadership
Elected to block panchayat councils, where she served as chairperson. Under her guidance, the local bodies implemented landmark housing, sanitation, and pure drinking water schemes for tribal hamlets.
KPCC Secretary & Organizational Role
Appointed as the Secretary of the KPCC, coordinating party welfare wings across Palakkad and Thrissur districts. She successfully represented marginalized voices in the state leadership.
Elected to Legislative Assembly
Elected from Kongad constituency in 2021. In the assembly, she consistently raised issues regarding forest-dwellers' rights, tribal health centers, and post-matric scholarship delays.
Empowering Marginlised Communities
Inducted into the Satheesan cabinet on May 18, 2026. As the Minister for SC/ST and Backward Classes Development, she is focused on executing complete housing packages and establishing model residential schools (MRSs).
