Childhood in Palakkad
Born in Mannarkkad, Palakkad on July 1, 1968. Raised in a traditional family, he grew up witnessing the unique social and educational challenges of the Malabar region, which later motivated him to dedicate his life to public service.
Legal Training and MSF Leadership
Earned his law degree from Government Law College, Kozhikode. He entered student politics through the Muslim Students Federation (MSF), eventually becoming one of its key organizers in Palakkad district and leading protests for student facilities.
Legal Practice & Local Administration
Enrolled as an advocate and established his legal practice in Palakkad. During this time, he also worked closely with the Youth League and local self-government bodies, gaining crucial administrative insights.
First Legislative Election
Elected to the Kerala Legislative Assembly from Mannarkkad in 2011. He immediately caught the attention of senior leaders due to his detailed study of legislative bills and active participation in assembly debates.
Consolidating Mannarkkad Constituency
Re-elected from Mannarkkad in 2016 and 2021. He focused heavily on improving public infrastructure, schools, and drinking water projects in the rural and hilly tracts of his constituency.
Transforming General Education
Appointed as the Minister for General Education in the Satheesan cabinet in 2026. His priority is the modernization of government schools, revision of educational curriculum to match global standards, and strengthening the Literacy Mission.
