Childhood in Ottapalam
Born in Ottapalam, Palakkad on November 15, 1980. Growing up in a working-class household, he was deeply influenced by the cultural heritage and trade union struggles of the Palakkad region.
Student Activism & Political Science Studies
Graduated in Political Science. During this time, he became a key activist in the KSU, organizing rural students and protesting for affordable public transport for rural youth.
Cooperative Sector & Local Leadership
Elected to local cooperative society boards and municipal councils. He focused on delivering agricultural loans and setting up local cold-storage units for organic farmers.
KPCC Secretary and Youth Front
Appointed as the Secretary of the KPCC, managing youth empowerment wings and leading campaigns against agrarian distress in Palakkad and Thrissur districts.
Elected to Legislative Assembly
Contested and won the Ottapalam seat. In the assembly, he stood out for his well-researched arguments on inland fisheries, public distribution systems, and rural roads.
Fisheries and Coastal Infrastructure in 2026
Appointed as a Cabinet Minister in 2026. Managing Fisheries and Harbour Engineering, he is currently implementing a comprehensive sea-wall project and establishing subsidized fuel stations for traditional fishermen.
